Hi! My name is Venessa Mak, and I am excited to be serving as the Director of Outreach for RARE! I will be responsible for coordinating events and maintaining relationships with other non-profit organizations. We are dedicated to educating and raising awareness on rare medical conditions in this community.

I am a sophomore Allied Health major from Houston, TX aspiring to be a physician assistant. In my free time I enjoy cooking, travelling, and spending time with friends. I look forward to getting to know you all!

Hello, I am Naman Bala, the new Director of Volunteering. Considering this tough time, my goal is to bring to you the most number of volunteering opportunities in and around your area while also introducing you to the world of online volunteering, events and activities. As a current Biomedical Engineering Senior, I have a decent amount of awareness about the medical fields out there and will do the very best I can to bring you opportunities and fun activities as much as possible. I enjoy watching TV shows and obtaining unusual certifications online, so if you ever have something new to watch or a new unusual skill to share, I am always all ears. RARE is one of the organisations that I found that has always kept me surprised on its materials and concepts, hence the reason I joined this organisation. I am extremely excited to learn new things in my position and the interesting and diverse things that you have to share. I hope to have a lot of fun with you lot and hope to have an enjoyable and educative time with you this semester.
